TAC Guitar Controller Update

With the upcoming release of the rockin' sequel to Guitar Hero about to hit store shelves I wanted to make sure you were aware of some issues with the guitar controller(s) from The Ant Commandos that I previously mentioned in an earlier entry.

All TAC guitar controllers purchased before October 1st, including the wired and wireless versions, are only compatible with GH II with an adapter that will attach to the reciever that you plug into the controller port. TAC will offer the adapter for $6.99 with free shipping on their website http://www.theguitarmania.com starting next week. All other TAC guitar controllers purchased after October 1st are fully compatible with GH II and GHI without the adapter.
If you are at your local retailer and are unsure which version you are about to buy, the newer units that are fully compatible without the adapter are in new yellow packaging. The older versions that will require an adapter will be packaged
in either a blue box (for the blue Freedom V) or a red box (for the red Freedom V) and both packages have white flames on them.

Either way, these controllers are a great alternative...every great axe player needs to have choices on how they wanna rock!
