Did you get a message on your Wii?

Last night I received a message on my Nintendo Wii... it was from Nintendo.
It stated that some people have had problems with their Wii-mote wrist straps.
There is an 800 number and a website to visit if you have offending straps.
This message was on the website for several weeks prior.
