Nintendo has lots of crazy plans

Besides the upcoming WiiWare program (info here) that allows Wii users access to developers' games without massive budgets (and developers' experiments), Nintendo is also hinting at what's to come next year.
You can't read the whole article (requires WSJ subscription), but Wall Street Journal is saying that Nintendo has a lot of plans for the DS and Wii that include projects not meant to entertain, but are for practicality. HUM?
More fitness stuff? Cooking apps?
Apparently it's continuing effort by the big N to keep this new generation of non-gamers that were wooed over by the Wii and DS with non-traditional games.
