For those of you who purchased an HDMI-less, older version of the XBox 360 console, you might be glad to hear that for $89.99 you can get rid of a few cables behind your entertainment system. MadCatz has developed an adapter that plugs into the A/V port and supplies an HDMI as well as an optical audio cable port. These nifty little devices are available for pre-order at GameStop, and is set to be available at New Years. Product info (pdf)

I wonder if the HDMI adapter will introduce a bit of lag in the display. I've read that conversion of an analog signal to a digital signal will produce a 1-frame lag at minimum.
