Post E3 blahs. Was it really THAT bad? (The Nintendo summary)

I suffered through hours E3 recaps on TV and the interwebs this weekend. Since most of the information I received from the show during the week was from live written blogs, it was a shock to see the press conferences live (on tape).
First of all, the Nintendo presser was a complete embarrassment. The best way I can describe it is that it was like that scene from the movie "Big" where Tom Hanks sits in meeting of toy executives and after hearing their pitch for a robot shaped like a building, Tom says, "I don't get it."
The entire Nintendo presentation seemed forced, unnatural, un-cool and uninformative. Seeing all the Nintendo big-wigs playing their upcoming (ahem, in-development) products was sort of sad. I actually felt sorry for Reggie and company.
